“Les has really championed bringing the idea of a new sports complex to Greenville.  He has worked tirelessly with local leaders and local sports organizations to research the best options for Greenville to compete with other local towns and cities.  Having a sports complex in Greenville will keep local dollars here as well as bring in money from all over the southeast.  We have Les to thank for that and we need to keep him in office to continue to work for our citizens and taxpayers!”

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Councilmember Les Robinson for promptly addressing our neighborhood’s flooding concerns and for taking the time to meet with us today. We are also grateful to Director of Public Works Kevin Mulligan for joining the meeting and helping to evaluate potential solutions.

We deeply appreciate the short-term fix being implemented—adding two additional drain boxes, one on each side of the street—to help alleviate the sudden flooding we’ve experienced. It was also reassuring to see the plans for a long-term solution currently in development, even though it will take some time to be completed.

Les responded to me personally and immediately this morning, and his willingness to act quickly and work toward practical solutions is exactly what we need in a representative. He is a true problem solver, and I genuinely believe there is no one better to represent our district.

As we approach the next election, I encourage my neighbors to support Councilmember Robinson. He has a proven track record of listening to our concerns and getting things done. While he faces opposition from a recent newcomer to our area, I believe experience, responsiveness, and dedication matter—and Les Robinson has demonstrated all three.

Let’s make sure we get out and vote!

OK – this one is going to shock some folks, but I’m good with that.

I told ya’ll a few days ago I am endorsing who best benefits my “kids” and I meant that.

In 2007 or 2008 (I can’t remember because I have probably chosen not to remember) Brandon got into some legal trouble. I can’t say I was devastated, but what I can say is I was faced with a new situation that I knew would be some type of testimony for somebody else and trust me, it has indeed been a testimony.

Anyway, when it happened, Randy and I were in Myrtle Beach and decided to wait until we got back to address it. In the meantime, Randy said let me reach out to Les. I was like Les who and what do you think he is going to do on a weekend to help this situation AND how do you know him. #IJS Needless to say – Randy reached out to “this Les person” and we were sitting in his office on that Monday with a plan and assurances.

Lord knows and Heaven knows I thought the boy was going to serve some time for his idiotic decisions and I am sure I made at least a dozen calls to Les’ office before he finally said “let me handle this. Trust me. I got this.” (Ya’ll know I am a pseudo lawyer…) In the background, I am saying to Randy – I need him to talk to me more. I am not interested in his lack of communication. In hindsight – I was just being my usual controlling self. Randy, of course, was cool with Les handling it. AND, he did just that.

That was my first encounter with Les Robinson and since then, we’ve worked together to make sure other folks kids have a similar opportunity he gave Brandon. I cannot and will not forget what he did for my family and therefore have chosen to endorse him for reelection to his City Council District 5 seat.

Do I agree with every political philosophy Les espouses? NO, I do NOT, but I am comfortable knowing, if needed, “the Les person” I got to know will fight for my kids.
